Getty Villa Field Trip

MSA students went on a field trip to the Getty Villa. The following is an excerpt from a sixth grade students' report: A group of students from Magnolia Science Academy went to the Getty Villa on September 4, 2014. I was fortunate to be in that group. When we got the bus, I did not know what to expect. At the time, I did not know that the Getty Villa was going to have such a huge impact on me. The bus ride was amazing. I got to see beautiful sights, like the beach, nice homes, and the birds in the sky. It was very nice, and the weather that day was nice too. When we finally arrived, my excitement continued to grow. I quickly realized that they Getty Villa was very beautiful. The Getty Villa was filled with amazing sculptors and artwork. Besides looking at the beautiful artwork, I also learned some interesting facts. One thing I learned is that Zeus is considered to be one of the seven wonders of the ancient world."
